BIG MOVIE: BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE Trailer with Chris Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm and Jeff Bridges

Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption – before everything goes to hell.

Bad Times at the El Royale filmed in metro Vancouver from late January to early April this year.

Drew Goddard wrote and directed this 60s noir thriller.

Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson, Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm, Cynthia Erivo, Cailee Spaeny, Nick Offerman, Lewis Pullman.

Characters:

Chris Hemsworth (Avengers) is a charismatic — and often shirtless —  cult leader looking to recapture a follower who got away.

Johnson was spotted around town with her boyfriend Chris Martin and out filming at the El Royale set in Coquitlam.

Jeff “the Dude” Bridges is a convict pretending to be a priest so he can find stolen loot he stashed in the hotel years before.

The noir thriller was spotted in Agassiz, Coquitlam, downtown Vancouver and the Starlight Casino in Queensborough.

Bad Times at the El Royale is Drew Goddard’s feature film followup to his horror hit The Cabin in the Woods. Next up for Goddard is writing and directing the Deadpool spinoff X-Force with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino.

Bad Times at the El Royale is expected in theatres on October 12th.
