CAST: Keri Russell in Guillermo Del Toro-Produced Horror Film ANTLERS this Fall in Vancouver?

Keri Russell is in talks to play the lead in Guillermo del Toro-produced supernatural horror thriller Antlers filming in Vancouver this Fall.

Russell is in demand after wrapping 6 seasons of the Emmy-nominated spy thriller The Americans, about Russian agents embedded in 1980s America. She’s cast in J.J. Abraham’s Star Wars: Episode IX, reuniting her with her Felicity boss.

What is Antlers about?

A fourth grade teacher tries to help a troubled boy in her class and discovers he has a  nightmarish secret. Something terrifying is coming for the boy and she has to protect him. Taking the boy into her care, the teacher must fight for their survival against horrors beyond imagination.

Oscar-winning horror master Guillermo Del Toro (for the Shape of Water) is producing along with David Goyer and Miles Dale.

Guillermo del Toronto stopped by McLeod’s books in downtown Vancouver a month ago when he was scouting Antlers.

Scott Cooper will direct based on a script by Nick Antosca and Henry Chaisson.

Antlers is expected to start filming in Vancouver this September.
