SEASON 2: THE GOOD DOCTOR’s Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy On Set in Vancouver

The Good Doctor season 2.

The Good Doctor started filming season 2  in Vancouver at the end of June with Freddie Highmore as the autistic and brilliant Dr. Shaun Murphy.

San Jose hospital St. Bonaventure is often played by Vancouver Community College on east Broadway.

That’s where I found Freddie Highmore last Thursday sitting on a bench with his on-screen father figure Richard Schiff while crew changed camera setups inside.

Where did we leave their characters: stressed that Schiff’s Dr. Aaron Glassman might be dying, Dr. Shaun Murphy botched a surgery. The patient survived but Shaun and Glassman told the Chief of Surgery what happened.

Members of the TGD Squad saw some of the action inside earlier in the day with showrunner David Shore, Freddie Highmore, Richard Schiff, Antonia Thomas and more on set.

What it looks like: filming inside Vancouver Community College in season 1.

Cast: Freddie Highmore, Nick Gonzalez, Richard Schiff, Antonia Thomas, Hil Harper, Fiona Gubelmann, Will Yun Lee.
