Big news.

Ruby Rose is Batwoman.

That means we’ll see her in Vancouver — as the streets of Gotham City — filming this October/November.

For the three-night CW crossover event in December from Supergirl on Sunday, Arrow on Monday and The Flash on Tuesday.

Legends of Tomorrow is sitting out this crossover event to make room for Batwoman and Gotham City.

Who is Ruby Rose?

An out lesbian since the age of 12, Ruby Rose broke out on screen as Stella Carlin on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black.

And then transitioned into features with roles on XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, Resident Evil: Final Chapter, John Wick: Chapter Two, Pitch Perfect 3 and upcoming The Meg.

Who is Batwoman?

Kate Kane is an out lesbian and badass street fighter with a passion for social justice and a knack for speaking her mind.

The CW has put a Batwoman series in development for next year with The Vampire Diaries’s Caroline Dries as showrunner.

Arrow’s Stephen Amell announced the live-action Batwoman at The CW Upfront in May.

We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character.

For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific.

The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it. — Stephen Amell.
