Netflix martial arts drama Wu Assassins has started filming in Vancouver.

Filming dates: August 13th – November 20th.

What’s it about?

Iko Uwais (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) stars as Kai Jin, a young chef in San Francisco’s Chinatown who’s chosen to be the latest and last Wu Assassin, a heroic killer who must save the world from the dangerous and ancient triad Wu while hiding his secret from those closest to him.

Cast: Iko Uwais, Katheryn Winnick, Lewis Tan, Byron Mann, Tommy Flanagan, Tzi Ma.

Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) is undercover cop  Christine “C.G.” Gavin,  caught in the middle of the gang war.

Lewis Tan (Into the Badlands) is Lu Xin Lee, who runs a car theft ring for the triad and owns West Coast Customs garage.

Byron Mann (Altered Carbon) is Uncle Six.

John Wirth (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles/Falling Skies) is showrunner for the 10-episode first season.

Wu Assassins is filming in Vancouver’s Chinatown today outside the May Wah building.
