Guillermo Del Toro-produced supernatural horror thriller Antlers with Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons & Jeremy T. Thomas starts filming in Vancouver this week.

Filming Dates: October 1st – November 22nd.

Budget: $15-20 million.

Director: Scott Cooper.

Cast: Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Graham Greene, Amy Madigan, Scott Haze and Jeremy T. Thomas.

What is Antlers about?

A fourth grade teacher (Russell) in Oregon and her brother the Sheriff (Plemons) become entwined with a troubled boy in her class (Thomas) and discover he has a  nightmarish secret. Something terrifying is coming for the boy and she has to protect him. Taking the boy into her care, the teacher must fight for their survival against horrors beyond imagination.

Keri Russell is in demand after wrapping 6 seasons of the Emmy-nominated spy thriller The Americans, about Russian agents embedded in 1980s America. She’s cast in J.J. Abraham’s Star Wars: Episode IX, reuniting her with her Felicity boss.

Oscar-winning horror master Guillermo Del Toro (for the Shape of Water) is producing along with David Goyer and Miles Dale.

Guillermo del Toronto stopped by McLeod’s books in downtown Vancouver a month ago when he was scouting Antlers.

Scott Cooper directs based on a script by Nick Antosca and Henry Chaisson.
