Titans season 2 (working title Freebirds) from the DC Channel is expected to film in Toronto this Spring and Summer.
Toronto filming dates: April 2nd – September 18th.
Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Raven (Teagan Croft, Starfire (Anna Diop), Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) and vigilante and romantic couple Hawk (Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly).
Season 2 adds Connor Kent version of Superboy and his dog Krypto.
I recently binged the series on Netflix and found it to be a deep, gritty telling of DC’s teen titan stories but with a disappointing season finale. Toronto and its surrounding area work as wintery, brooding backdrop.
