ENGAGED: SUPERGIRL’s Melissa Benoist Engaged to Chris Wood. A Vancouver Setmance.by Susan GittinsFebruary 11, 2019February 14, 2019SupergirlSupergirl Setmance. #Melwood Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Supergirl sweethearts Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood got engaged. It’s a made-in-Vancouver setmance. The couple fell in love off screen as Supergirl fell for Wood’s character Mon-El on screen in season 2. #Karamel. The super-powered couple said goodbye and Supergirl pined for him early in season 3. But when Mon-El returned, it was from the future where he was a married man. The pair said goodbye again at season’s end. Even though Mon-El is gone in season 4, Chris Wood is often in Vancouver to support his now-fiance. I spotted him at the Elseworlds Crossover set in downtown Vancouver, visiting Melissa and their friend Grant Gustin Grant Gustin invited the pair to his wedding to LA Thoma on December 15th in Los Angeles. Is that Melissa Benoist in the pale floral gown? Superfan Joe D’Aquistos ran into Benoist and Wood back in Vancouver at the airport on December 22nd, leaving for the holiday hiatus.
