SEASON 5: White-and-Gold Speedster Godspeed Spotted at THE FLASH Set in Vancouver

The Flash Season 5

Updated:

White-and-gold speedster Godspeed is in (future) Central City.

For The Flash episode 5×18 entitled Godspeed — of course — and directed by the show’s own Danielle Panabaker.

In DC Comics lore, Godspeed is the speedster alter-ego of August Heart, a former CCPD colleague of Barry Allen’s and a new crime-fighting partner. But after Hearst’s brother is murdered, he turns evil.

Last night, fans saw “Godspeed” fall onto a Central City Citizen sign (the newspaper founded by Iris West-Allen in 2019) in a stunt filmed on the east side of the CBC Vancouver building. The Central City Citizen sign and an ad for a new Razer exhibition at the Flash Museum are two more clues that much of this episode takes place in Central City’s future after the Flash goes missing.

Futuristic Central City police cars are another clue.

Friday night was Day 8 of 8 filming the episode.

Director Danielle Panabaker saved the best for last.

She shared some photos of her on set directing Godspeed in downtown Vancouver.

I saw her on set Thursday night at the Vancouver Public Library plaza directing her co-star Grant Gustin aka Barry Allen, the Flash himself.

And Jessica Parker Kennedy as Barry’s speedster daughter from the future, Nora West-Allen, known as XS.

Are they speeding into future Central City….Nora’s Central City?

Daaaad!

Danielle Panabaker DGA.

I’ll always remember this time in my life as incredibly powerful. Today, I begin directing my first episode ever. The Flash has very much operated as family to me these past five years, so to be able to direct on this show is extremely close to my heart and a bucket list moment for me. Thank you to Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti for the opportunity and to the entire team for their constant support – I’m extremely grateful. Working with a network who understands the power of inclusivity in storytelling is something I will never take for granted. Excited for you all to see episode 518!  — Danielle Panabaker.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
