A young girl moves from Brooklyn to a small town and chases a story that everyone in the town — including her father– has tried to bury — inspired by real-life Hilde Lysiak and her career as a reporter.
Lysiak started at the age of 9 when she uncovered a murder in her Pennsylvania town and published it in her own newspaper — the Orange Street News.
