The Indictment:
Lori Loughlin and fellow actress Felicity Huffman were among the 40 charged in “Operation Varsity Blues” on Tuesday, March 12th.
Loughlin’s husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, was taken into custody that day and she left Vancouver where she was the filming the latest Garage Sale Mysteries — Three Little Murders — to surrender to authorities in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning. She was later released on $1 million bail.
Loughlin and her husband’s alleged $500,000 bribe was to get their two daughters Isabella and Olivia Jade Giannulli into the University of Southern California, by designating them as “recruits to the U.S.C. crew team” even though neither of them rowed. The daughters posed for photos on rowing machines to sell the scam.
Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend mocked the scam in a tweet.
