Beverly Hills, 90210 cast paid tribute to Luke Perry in last night’s premiere of their meta-reunion BH90210.
The biggest moment came in the final scene as Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth watch an old clip of Beverly Hills, 90210 with Dylan McKay (Luke Perry) driving Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley) along the California coast.
Luke Perry died earlier this year at age 52 from a stroke.

Shannen Doherty has said that it was Luke Perry’s death which persuaded her to join her former Beverly Hills 90210 castmates Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering and Gabrielle Carteris in the BH90210 reunion.
When Luke passed away, things drastically changed for me. [BH90210] was a great opportunity to honor him. She is also playing a role in Riverdale’s upcoming tribute to Perry — who played Archie’s Dad Fred Andrews — in their season 4 premiere titled In Memorium.

Shannen Doherty had a limited presence in last night’s BH90210 but will be back with the Gang in next week’s episode.

What is BH90210?
Beverly Hills 90210 cast play heightened versions of themselves as they come come together at a faux Beverly Hills, 90210 fan convention in Las Vegas for the show’s 30th anniversary. The event goes comicly wrong but the former teen idols decide that a reboot might be the best thing for them and their careers.
BH90210 filmed its six-part reboot within a reboot in Vancouver, with The Parq Casino, Rosewood Hotel Georgia and the Westin Bayshore Hotel playing the Las Vegas Hotel.
Here are Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling — who conceived of BH90210 — as “themselves” poolside at the Bayshore hotel.

Fans could see the cast walking around the hotel between scenes, except for Shannen Doherty who comes into BH90210 later.
The cast’s loved ones/families are fictionalized. Tori Spelling who’s married in real-life to Dean McDermott has a fictionalized husband in BH90210 –an ex-hockey star (played by Ivan Sergei). Brian Austin Green who’s married in real-life to movie star Megan Fox has a fictionalized wife — an R&B star Shay (played by La La Anthony). Jason Priestley who’s married in real-life to Naomi Lowde has a fictionalized publicist wife Camille (played by Vanessa Lachey).
Ian Ziering is married to Erin Kristine Ludwig in real life. His marriage to a fitness influencer is on the rocks in his fictional life after she accidentally facebook lives an extra-marital hookup. Jennie Garth is married to Dave Abrams, her third marriage in real life whereas she’s headed for her third divorce in fictional life. Gabrielle Cateris is married to stockbroker Charles Isaacs in real life with two daughters. Shannen Doherty is married to photographer Kurt Iswarienko, her third marriage in real life.

The trailer of the cast waking up to the Beverly Hills 90210 theme song passed 27 million in May, making it the most-viewed trailer of the new series promoted at Upfront week.
