The Haunting of Bly Manor

Netflix’s The Haunting sequel The Haunting of Bly Manor filmed at an Irish pub in downtown Vancouver today with Henry Thomas inside as his new pin-striped character.

The Irish Heather pub in Gastown was renamed The Tragic Muse temporarily after a Henry James novel.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is adapted from the Henry James novel The Turn of the Screw and set at an old country mansion with Victoria Pedretti from The Haunting of Hill House as the governess looking after the two children — Amelie Smith as Flora and Benjamin Ainsworth as Miles.

Filming dates: September 30th to February 21st, 2020.

Cast: Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Catherine Parker, T’Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Rahul Kohli, Amelie Smith, Benjamin Ainsworth.

Showrunner Mike Flanagan is directing the premiere. You can see him in a blue jacket in the background of some shots.

Most of the cast from The Haunting of Hill House are returning for the sequel but in new roles.

Victoria Pedretti, who haunted Hill House as Nell Crain, is the governess.

Henry Thomas, who was Hugh Crain on The Haunting of Hill House, will play Henry Wingrave, the Uncle of the two orphaned children.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who was Luke Crain on Hill House, will play Peter, a business associate of Henry Wingrave.

Kate Siegel, who was Theo Crain on Hill House, has an undisclosed role on Bly.

New to the sequel:

Rahul Kohli from iZombie is a small town guy who returns to the country to take care of his ailing mother.

Showrunner: Mike Flanagan.

The Haunting of Hill House was one of Netflix’s most-binged shows in 2018.
