Will this Sonic satisfy the haters? The unprecedented backlash against the movie version of the Sega game’s Sonic the Hedgehog forced a redesign of the title character.

Online reaction a year ago to the first movie poster with the human proportions was negative.

Then the online reaction to Sonic’s human teeth in the first trailer pushed the backlash to a whole other level.

Director Jeff Fowler acknowledged the criticism in May and promised that Paramount and Sega would fix it fast.

But the movie’s release date had to be pushed back to February 14th next year.

Six months later, the human teeth are gone in the redesign.

The movie filmed in British Columbia from late July to mid-October in 2018.

What’s it about?

Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartzand the Green Hills Sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) team up to stop Dr. Eggman Robotnik (Jim Carrey)’s plan for world domination.
