Wednesday, November 13th.

Today is the last day of filming for Arrow. I still remember what I was wearing for my audition, what the room was like, my mind being blown that I was cast, my first flight to Vancouver, walking into my first hotel room, the first fitting, meeting Stephen Amell before that and seeing the amount of sushi he was gonna down post-training session. Our first day of shooting spent laying on a wet pallet and not wanting it to end. Cut to 2019 and the show has made 170 episodes of television, laid the groundwork for a whole universe of shows not to mention ushered in a new era of television superheroes.

I’m proud to have been a part of it over the last 8 seasons but here’s what’s even more wonderful.  I have always said that as I move from job to job I’m lucky if I get to keep ONE good friend after I move on. With Arrow I’ve kept more than I thought possible. People who whether I see them once a year or talk to them once a week we pick up right where we left off. That’s my greatest takeaway from my time on Arrow these last 8 seasons. None of that would have been possible without our creators, our writers & directors, the CW, this cast, this crew as lastly YOU the fans. You’re the biggest reason this show became what it is.. Thanks for all the memories and for all the fun and to all of my Arrow family, especially Stephen Amell. Congratulations on a most amazing run. — Colin Donnell.

Colton Haynes — Roy Harper/Arsenal.

They’ve had to reapply my makeup too many times today…tomorrow is my last day on Arrow and I can’t stop crying.

Today is the last day on Arrow. The last day I will get to go to work with these beautiful humans on a show that gave me so much. These ppl were with me through all the good & sad times & helped me through more than I can ever repay them for. Thank you @gberlanti for bringing me on this wonderful journey & to all the incredible writers, producers, cast, crew, & FANS for being so incredible all these yrs. ❤️❤️❤️ — Colton Haynes.

Juliana Harkavy – Dinah Lance/Black Canary.

Monday, November 11th.

I took this photo almost 4 years ago. I’d just gotten off a call with Warner Bros. where I learned my life was about to change forever. My journey on Arrow had begun, and I would be moving to Vancouver in a few days. I took this picture because I wanted to remember the feeling I had in that moment. The overwhelming excitement. The immense gratitude.

At the time I had no idea where this adventure would lead. I didn’t know this show would have such an outstanding lifespan, or how many people, young and old, I would be able to meet and help through playing this character. Or how they would help me. Most of all, I didn’t know the greatest gift was waiting on the other side of the border. My cast. Who would welcome me with open arms and become my greatest source of strength. My soulmates. My family. And Stephen, our gracious and unwavering leader, to whom I am eternally grateful.

Today begins our last week on Arrow. As thankful as I felt the day this photo was taken, nothing could describe how much that love and gratitude has grown. I am so proud of our cast, crew, writers, and producers.
I hope you enjoy this final season. And I hope when you look back, you’ll find this story has moved you, inspired you, and changed you for the better. Because of #Arrow, I have been changed, for good. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🖤🏹

Wednesday, November 13th. Wrap song.

Rick Gonzalez – Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog.

Where would “Rene” be with out this team? Nowhere. Where would “Rene” be if there was no “Oliver”? Nowhere. Where would this show be without Stephen Amell? Nowhere. Or at the very least cancelled wayyyy before season 8. I’ve said this to you before but a fact is a fact: you worked your butt off to make this show successful. That is a great representation of leadership. When I showed up in season 5 you still put in hard work to make this show strong. And you did it smoothly. You set a blueprint. Thank you for embracing me into this world. Congratulations.

I remember I ran into Marc Guggenheim in Los Angeles back in 2012 when the show aired. Congratulated him on the show, in the back of my mind I thought: “I definitely want to be on that show”. Fast forward to 2016 and I had the opportunity to audition for a small part (or so I thought at the time) on the show. I won’t forget the moment when our costume designer Maya Mani told me I was playing Wild Dog 😩😳😎 I jumped for joy. Ran into David Ramseyin Miami for American Black Film Festivaland he introduced himself to me and said he looked forward to working with me. Fast forward 3 years later and David is like a big brother to me. ❤️ Love you bro, you gracefully give to others. It’s beautiful to see. Thank you for being an anchor wherever you are. Juliana Harkavy. you showed up halfway through the season of 5. Immediately I inherited a sister who wanted to comfort all of us. Continue to be the “mom” we all need on set. ❤️So grateful to this cast and crew for embracing me half way through this journey.  Echo Kells you’re so darn funny and talented I hope we can continue to work together! (stay tuned guys!) Katie Cassidy, you always displayed an undeniable spark with the Black Canary and Black Siren. And whenever we’re at work you were always sweet and kind. Emily Bett, it’s nearly impossible to not laugh with you. I was always in awe of your ability to bring Felicity to life with such fluidity. Thank you for always being a caring actor and peer.

Echo Kellum – Curtis Holt/Mr. Terrific.

Series wrap on Arrow. What a legacy this show will hold forever. I feel so blessed to have been apart of it.

It’s been hard to put into words how I feel about the series wrap of Arrow. This show has meant so much to me. It has provided security, a place of being and most importantly a family I will always hold down. So, thank you David Rapaport for bringing me in and thinking Emily Bett Rickards and I would work well with each other. Thank you Marc Guggenheim, Schwartz Approved and Wendy Mericlr for believing in me and allowing me the pleasure to portray Mr. Terrific. Thank you The CW, DC Comics and Warner Brothers TV for not saying “absolutely not this guy”. Thank you Stephen Amell for showing what a wonderful example a lead on show could be. Thank you Emily Bett Rickards for making me feel like I belonged from day one. Thank you Katie Cassidy, Colton Haynes and Willa Holland for always keeping it 100 with me. Thank you Katherine McNamara, Joseph Jones and Ben Lewis for allowing me to come back and play with y’all this season. Thank you David Ramsey, Rick Gonzalez and Juliana Harkavy for always having my back in good times and bad. Thank you to our whole crew, every actor, writer, producer and transport person ever, you all were at the top of your game. And the fans… y’all were the best. Thanks for accepting me. Thanks for the love. Thanks for caring. We did good y’all. Excelsior.

Crew:

James Bamford – Director of series finale Fadeout

Tuesday – November 12th.

We’ve never had so many cast as we’ve had on our set today….on our set in one scene…..and nope, it wasn’t a crossover. Thank you to all who were able to make it today. You made my year. ♥️ You know who you are.

Wednesday – November 13th.

At this very moment we are shooting the final shot of the final episode of Arrow. This scene is truly beautiful in the most honest meaning of the word. The perfect ending to this wonderful television series.

Creators:

Marc Guggenheim, Co-Creator and former Showrunner.

The pitch.

Arrow would have been a different show if Felicity had been a Stanley.

Wednesday, November 13th.

Arrow is wrapped. Last two words of dialogue: “To you.” — Marc Guggenheim.

Beth Schwartz, Current Showrunner.

Heading up to Vancouver for the last time for Arrow. The first time I flew up was for episode 115. I was the first writer to be on set and Stephen Amell asked if I was Canadian cause I raided the Roots store across from my hotel. I ordered a milkshake to my room after my very first night shoot and thought – wow, I really made it. I didn’t realize then that going to Vancouver would become the norm over the next 8 years. That I would meet amazing people and work with incredible talent. I will miss my trips to Vancouver but will be forever grateful for this crazy and wonderful ride. I will miss you all.

Wednesday, November 13th.

And that’s a wrap… — Beth Schwartz.
