Spinoff Pilot.
Arrow spinoff pilot Green Arrow & the Canaries takes place in 2040 in a Star City where Oliver Queen is remembered as a hero — with an Oliver Queen Memorial Drive and a Green Arrow statue in the park.
The #Arrow spinoff takes place in 2040. We already spoiled that Oliver is dead by that time, so his not appearing in Arrow 809 (the spinoff episode) isn’t affected by what happens in Crisis (or, for that matter, the series finale). https://t.co/BkrFGnj6Fl

Green Arrow & the Canaries is about Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak’s daughter Mia Smoak from the future (Katherine McNamara) as she takes on the mantle of the Green Arrow with the help of the”Canaries” — Laurel Lance/Black Siren from Earth 2 (Katie Cassidy) and Dinah Drake/Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy).
This is confusing since Mia Smoak is currently in 2019 with her Dad Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and plays a big role in the crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths.

But if “Future Team Arrow” do return to 2040 at least it will be an altered future where Oliver Queen is remembered as a hero who saved his city.

And the spinoff did pickup scenes with the Green Arrow statue in downtown Vancouver’s Crab Park on November 12th.

Green Arrow and the Canaries will air as the ninth episode of Arrow in the new year, after the crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths.
And if picked up, will air next season on The CW.
