The Stand
After the world is in ruins, due to a man-made plague, a battle of literally Biblical proportions ensues.
Has Stephen King’s The Stand series shot the sequence of Stu Redmond waving goodbye to Frannie Goldsmith and setting off on foot from Boulder, Colorado, to Las Vegas to confront Randall Flagg aka the Dark Man?

Stephen King is writing the last episode of the new 10-episode adaption, with a new coda not found in his novel.
I’ve had an idea for the ending for The Stand for a long time. I was never really totally happy with the way it ended because the main characters, Stu and Fran, never talked about what happened to them after they left Boulder, Colorado., where the thing ends. And I always wondered about their trip back, and I had an idea. Josh came to me and said, ‘Would you be interested in writing a button episode for this thing?’ And I said, ‘Well, since you got Whoopi, you can get me.’” — Stephen King.
