Cast: Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton, Kavan Smith, Kevin McGarry, Chris McNally, Andrea Brooks.

When Calls the Heart is the story of  Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a shipping magnate’s daughter accustomed to 19th century high society life, who goes to teach in the small coal mining town of Hope Valley, where a mining explosion has left many widows.

Elizabeth’s wealthy father ensures that RCMP Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) is assigned to Hope Valley to protect his daughter. As Elizabeth adapts to the frontier lifestyle, she warms up to Jack and their long romance culminated in a wedding. But her happiness was cut short in the season 5 finale when Jack died, leaving Elizabeth a widow with a baby on the way.

In season 6 we met baby Jack and two new men in town — Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and charming gambler and saloon owner Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) — who become Elizabeth’s suitors.

The love triangle is the heart of season 7 but it looked like Elizabeth had made her choice in last night’s season finale

Not so fast. Star Erin Krakow and the show’s creator Brian Bird say Elizabeth is still moving very slowly and the love triangle is not over.
