REOPENING: Hallmark is Back. Seven TV movies Filming in Hollywood North After 3-Month Production Shutdowm

Some of the BC film industry’s 35,000 crew are getting back to work after a 3-month Covid-19 shutdown as seven TV movies start production this month and next.

All have Canadian directors and crews. Any cast, creators or crew from outside Canada will need to do the government-mandated 14-day quarantine before heading to set.

How will they handle romance in the Covid era?

TV movie For Better Or Worse started filming in Kelowna last week, according to the DGC’s BC Production List.

For Better or Worse

Director: David I. Strasser from Vancouver.

Dates: June 8th to 23rd.

The first Hallmark movie — Wedding Every Weekend — starts filming in Vancouver on June 22nd.

Director: Kevin Fair from Vancouver.

Dates: June 22nd to July 11th.

Circus for Wedding Every Weekend.

One other TV movie — Christmas Forgiveness  —  begins that week as well.

Dates: June 22nd to July 10th.

Three other TV movies get underway in June.

Kite Festival of Love

Director: Christie Will Wolf from Toronto.

Dates: June 26th to July 17th.

Beverly Hills Wedding

Director: Paul Ziller from Toronto.

Dates: June 29th to July 19th 

And two other TV movies on July 2nd.

Destination Wedding

Director: Jason James from Vancouver.

Dates: July 2nd to 17th.

My One True Love

Director: Heather Hawthorn Doyle from Vancouver.

Dates: July 2nd to July 17th.
