Canadian series Family Law plans to restart production this summer, with new Covid-19 safety protocols.

Expected restart dates: July 20th to October 14th (via DGC-BC Production List).

The Global-TV show headlined by Jewel Staite and Victor Garber had been shooting for a couple of weeks in March when the film industry shut down worldwide out of coronavirus fears.

What’s it about?

A group of flawed family members reluctantly work together at their father’s law firm Svensson and Associates in downtown Vancouver.

Cast: Jewel Staite, Victor Garber, Zach Smadu, Genelle Williams.

Episodes: 10.

Jewel Staite is recovering alcoholic Abigail ‘Abby’ Bianchi who as a condition of her probation is forced to work at her father’s law firm Svensson & Associates.

Victor Garber is Abby’s father Harry Svensson.

Zach Smadu is Abby’s half-brother Daniel Svensson.

Genelle Williams is Abby’s half-sister Lucy Svensson.

Family Law started filming last Spring with shoots in Vancouver’s Gastown and Railtown on Monday, March 2nd.
