Chateau Christmas starts filming at the Chateau Whistler resort today with Christmas decorations, warmly dressed backgrounders and social distancing.

It’s one of seven Christmas movies — Christmas Forgiveness, Chateau Christmas, A Christmas in Nashville, Deliver it by Christmas, Jingle Bell Bride, A Christmas Tree Grows in Brooklyn and The Christmas Yule Blog — in production so far with new Covid-19 safety protocols.

And that’s not all. There are at least seven romances (mostly Hallmark) on the production lists plus Lifetime movie Practice to Deceive and Hallmark’s latest Aurora Teagarden Mystery.

One TV romance — For Better or Worse — has already wrapped in Kelowna.
Almost all of the TV movies have Canadian directors and crews. Any cast, directors, creators or crew from outside Canada have to do the government-mandated 14-day quarantine before heading to set.
