REOPENING: Syfy’s RESIDENT ALIEN With Alan Tudyk Plans To Finish Production This September in Vancouver

Reopening Hollywood North

Syfy’s alien-stranded-in-small-town series Resident Alien plans to finish production of season one this September in Vancouver.

Restart filming dates: September 10th to October 14th (via DGC-BC Production List).

Cast: Alan Tudyk (Doom Patrol, Rogue One, Firefly), Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund and Levi Fiehler.

What’s it about?

Harry (Alan Tudyk) is a crash-landed alien who disguises himself as a doctor in the Colorado small town of Patience.

Based on the Dark Horse comic, Resident Alien follows Harry, an alien played by Alan Tudyk that crash lands on Earth and passes himself off as a small-town human doctor. Harry starts off living a simple life… but things get a bit rocky when he’s roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does so, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission and asking the big life questions like: “Are human beings worth saving?” and “Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?”

Resident Alien filmed all over Vancouver last Fall and Winter, before the Covid pandemic abruptly shut down film & TV production worldwide.
