REOPENING: Aliens! LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 6 With Caity Lotz Plans To Film This Fall in Vancouver

Reopening Hollywood North

Legends versus Space Aliens.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow plans to start filming season 6 this Fall in Vancouver, with new Covid-19 safety protocols.

Target filming dates: October 5th to May 10th, 2021 (via DGC-BC Production List).

Cast from outside Canada qualify for the Canadian government-approved border exemption, but will have to do the strict 14-day full quarantine before heading to set.

Season 6 Synopsis.

Having spent last season trying to track down the Loom of Fate in order to bring back their slain comrades, the Legends must now save history from a foe like none they’ve encountered in the past or future. Co-captains of the time-ship Waverider Sara Lance and Ava Sharpe have dealt with monsters, time anomalies, and most recently, villains from Hell, but this season they will face something even more challenging and bizarre … space aliens!

After Sara is abducted by a ruthless alien, their new mission becomes personal. It will take more than the combined powers of a dark magician, John Constantine; a semi-reformed arsonist, Mick Rory; historian who transforms into steel, Nate Heywood; and a brother-sister wind-totem-wielding duo, Zara Tarazi and Behrad Tarazi to save the world for a sixth time. They must recruit a new Legend, a woman who was abducted by aliens when she was a child and supposedly imbued with powers that will help the team defeat their intergalactic foes. Either that or she’s just crazy

Cast: Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan, Shayan Sobhian and Olivia Swann.

Brandon Routh, Courtney Ford and Maisie Richardson-Sellers won’t be back as a full-time Legends.

How is The CW handling the delayed production because of the pandemic?

New seasons of The Flash, Batwoman and Superman & Lois don’t premiere until January 2021.

And new seasons of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl won’t premiere until the Spring/Summer of 2021.

Where did we leave Legends of Tomorrow?

In the season 6 finale, the team gathered in 1970s London to say goodbye to Charlie (Maisie Richardson Sellers) at a performance of her punk rock band The Smell.

After a group hug outside, Charlie headed back into the Club as the Legends walked away. Sara lingered and, unnoticed by her team, was sucked up into the atmosphere in a flash of  blue light.

Yup. Alien abduction.

Tala Ashe remains as influencer Zari 2.0, but Zari 1.0 departed at season’s end.

Where did we leave the cast?

Departed Legend Brandon Routh advocated wearing a mask.

Caity Lotz in her pink hiatus hair advocates wearing a mask.

The White Canary and Beebo masked up in new posters.

Caity Lotz got a Sara Lance shoutout on the season 4 premiere of Wynonna Earp.

From the mind of its showrunner.

Caity Lotz has a Los Angeles pandemic buddy in Ruby Rose — who used to be Kate Kane aka  Batwoman in Vancouver .
