The Good Doctor is back on track with new filming dates for season 4 in Vancouver.
Filming dates: September 2nd to May 28th, 2021. (via DGC-BC Production List).
The hit ABC show had expected to be the first major American series to start filming this summer until pre-production shut down suddenly on July 31st over testing issues.

Cast: Freddie Highmore, Richard Schiff, Antonia Thomas, Hil Harper, Fiona Gubelmann, Will Yun Lee, Christina Chang, Paige Spara.
Star Freddie Highmore had already flown in with his partner and embarked on his Canadian government-mandated 14-day self-quarantine in July.
“He loves Vancouver, they’re both happy here, so that isn’t tough,” local uber producer Shawn Williamson told CTV News.
But how much does he love Vancouver, with the start of production delayed six weeks?
A lot, we hope.
Paige Spara is in Vancouver.
Christina Chang, Richard Schiff and Will Yun Lee flew into Vancouver on August 21st to start their 14-day quarantines.
So what can we expect in season 4?
A 2-hour coronavirus-centric premiere.
Which is apt since early in the pandemic, The Good Doctor production office made arrangements with the BC government about which medical supplies it could provide.

We should also see Shaun Murphy becoming more of a supervisor in his fourth year of residency..
Where did we leave the show?
The Good Doctor will return without original cast member Nicholas Gonzalez, whose character Dr. Neil Melendez died from internal injuries sustained when a brewery collapsed during an earthquake in the season 3 finale.

Jasika Nicole won’t return as a series regular either. She played Shaun’s girlfriend in season 3 but broke up with him because of his feelings for Lea.
Season 3 ended with Shaun and Lea sharing a passionate kiss.
