REOPENING: WEDDING EVERY WEEKEND Premieres – Hallmark’s First COVID Era Movie Filmed in B.C.

Reopening Hollywood North

Hallmark’s first movie filmed in the Covid era premiered tonight on the American channel.

Wedding Every Weekend is about “wedding buddies” Nate and Brooke who agree to go together to the same four weddings, four weekends in a row. What starts as a friendship soon becomes deeper — natch.

Vancouver filming dates: June 22nd to July 13th.

Cast: Kimberley Sustad, Paul Campbell, Jaime M. Callica, Brandi Alexander, Carmel Amit, Makayla Moore, Chris Ippolito, Karen Kelly, Nicole Major, Klarc Jerome Wilson.

Director: Kevin Fair.

How did this summer romance shoot safely during a global pandemic? Very carefully with masks, hand sanitizers, social distancing, morning temperature checks and a Vancouver cast, director & crew.

Some of the interior weddings were moved outdoors where it’s safer to film. And half the backgrounders are mannequins.

Kimberley Sustad, Paul Campbell.

Jaime M. Callica, Brandi Alexander.

Same-sex couple.

Carmel Amit, Makayla Moore.

Katee Sackhoff was happy to see a same-sex couple represented on Hallmark.

So was Jewel Staite.

Chris Ippolito, Karen Kelly.

Nicole Major, Klarc Jerome Wilson.
