PREVIEW: Movie FLORA & ULYSSES With Matilda Lawler To Stream February 19th on Disney+

Flora & Ulysses

Disney+ adaption Flora & Ulysses with Broadway sensation Matilda Lawler was featured at Disney’s Investors Day today. It streams February 19th.

Flora & Ulysses is a delightful comedy-adventure based on the Newbery Award–winning book about 10-year-old Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic, who rescues a squirrel with unique superhero powers. Flora & Ulysses stars Matilda Lawler and is directed by Lena Khan (The Tiger Hunter). The film makes its debut on Disney+ February 19, 2021.

Cast: Matilda Lawler, Alyson Hannigan, Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi and Benjamin Evans Ainsworth.

Working title: Pushpin.

Flora & Ulysses filmed in Vancouver in the summer of 2019.

It begins, as the best superhero stories do, with a tragic accident that has unexpected consequences. The squirrel never saw the vacuum cleaner coming, but self-described cynic Flora Belle Buckman, who has read every issue of the comic book Terrible Things Can Happen to You!, is the just the right person to step in and save him. What neither can predict is that Ulysses (the squirrel) has been born anew, with powers of strength, flight, and misspelled poetry—and that Flora will be changed too, as she discovers the possibility of hope and the promise of a capacious heart.
