The Netflix space series had just started shooting season 2 when the film industry shut down in mid-March out of coronavirus fears.

After a five+-month pause because of the pandemic, Another Life season 2 resumed filming on August 28th.
Restart filing dates: August 28th to December 8th.

Update: Sackoff later entertained us with video of her two-day road trip back to California. She was euippedwith a plastic urinal havung kearned on te way up that public washrooms are closed because of the pandemic. But discovered another problem – how much the muscles in her butt hurt when she’d been sitting fir two days straight.
What’s Another Life about?
A flying object lands on Earth and grows a crystal shell. Captain Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) takes the spaceship Salvare and its crew to find the origin of the alien artifact while her United States Interstellar Command scientist husband Erik Wallace (Justin Chatwin) tries to communicate with the artifact on Earth.

Where did we leave the series?
Out in space, Niko and the Salvare crew discover the endgame for the aliens, called the Achaia, is total destruction — after seeing them kill the inhabitants of the planet Zakir and then blow it up.
Back on Earth, Niko’s husband Erik doesn’t know that the Achaia are hostile and has taken their daughter Jana (Lina Renna), who has leukemia, to them in the hope that they will cure her.

Elizabeth Faith Ludlow is Cas Isakovic, Niko’s (Sackhoff) second-in-command and staunchest ally.
Samuel Anderson is new life form William, a holographic interface of a sentient A.I. with all of humanity’s knowledge at his disposal.
AJ Rivera is jokester Bernie Martinez, the Salvare’s microbiologist and part-time chef.
Alexander Eling is former hacker Javier Almanzar, the ship’s computer engineering expert.
Alex Ozerov is Oliver Sokolov, one of the Salvare’s engineers.
Jessica Camacho is tell-it-like-it-is Michelle Vargas, the ship’s communications expert.
Jay R Tinaco is Zayn Petrossian, the ship’s medic and shrink.
On Earth:
Justin Chatwin is Erik Wallace, part of the United States Interstellar Command, dedicated to finding intelligent life out in the universe and Niko’s husband.
Lina Renna is Jana Breckinridge-Wallace, Niko and Erik’s daughter.
Barbara Williams is General Blair Dubois in charge of U.S. response to the Artifact and leading the teams on the ground.
Selma Blair is 21st century media influencer Harper Glass, who wants to break one of the biggest stories in human history.

Dillon Casey is Seth Gage, the head of Homeland Security.
Shannon Chan-Kent is Iara, a hybrid alien-human AI who is viewed suspiciously by both humans and aliens.
Kurt Yaeger is Dillon Conner, a military engineer.
