Van Helsing promises the “Mother of All Endings” in its fifth & final season, premiering April 16th on Syfy.

In the final season of Van Helsing, Vanessa, Violet and Jack will risk everything to finally bring an end to the Dark One once and for all. The Van Helsings must figure out ways to escape and evade the various obstacles in their path to prevent them from their mission, leading to an epic final showdown between the Van Helsings and the Dark One. Who will win the battle between light and dark?

Van Helsing started filming its fifth and final season last year, shooting its first three episodes in Slovakia, using Orava castle the same castle used in the classic film Nosferatu.
Much 6th – Last day in Slovakia.
Cast and crew returned to Vancouver to shoot the rest of the season but film & TV production shut down worldwide in mid-March last year out of coronavirus fears.
Three-and-a-half months later, Van Helsing resumed shooting of season 5, making it the first drama series to restart production in Canada after the shutdown.
Restart filming dates: June 29th to September 17th.

Van Helsing resumed production on June 29th in Kamloops for a week, using a reduced unit to test out its new Covid-19 safety procedures. And then began shooting safely with a full unit around Vancouver.
By September it was filming its series finale.

BC Premier John Horgan congratulated the Van Helsing cast and crew on being the first to resume production.

Season 4: Tricia Helfer joined the cast as Dracula. And Christopher Heyerdahl exited with the death of his character.
Seasons 2 & 3: Missy Peregrym joined Van Helsing as Scarlett Harker.
Season One: Kelly Overton as Vanessa Van Helsing on the roof of the former Canada Post building in downtown Vancouver.
I saw a bit of Van Helsing filming in season one when it was based in downtown Vancouver.
