Is the Squamish Valley playing Neverland in Disney+’s Peter Pan & Wendy?

Jim Gaffigan, who plays Smee, shared a photo of the Stawamus Chief last Friday from the Chances Casino parking lot, after a week of filming somewhere in the area.

Peter Pan & Wendy has been filming in B.C. for two months.

Disney+’s live-action adaption of the animated classic features Jude Law as Captain Hook, Jim Gaffigan as Smee, Yara Shadidi as Tinkerbell, Alyssa Wapantahk as Tiger Lily and Alexander Molony as Peter Pan and Ever Anderson as Wendy.

Peter Pan & Wendy, inspired by the Disney animated classic, has David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon) at the helm. A young girl rebels against “growing up” by going with her two brothers to a magical land ruled by an ageless boy obsessed with adventure who is locked in an ongoing battle with a pirate captain. The cast includes Jude Law as Captain Hook and Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish) in the role of Tinker Bell. The film will premiere on Disney+.

Working title: Bonfire.

Filming dates: March 8th to June 30th, 2021.
