We’ll say goodbye to John Constantine in season 6 of Legends of Tomorrow.
And in season 7 we’ll say hello to Matt Ryan’s new character Dr. Gwyn Davies, an eccentric early 20th Century scientist.
John is a character throughout all of his comic book history and all the TV parts, [is] someone who always walks alone. He dips into stories, and he dips out of stories. The time for John’s journey with Legends and with me has come to an end. I’m so really excited to be doing another role on this show and creating a new role with everybody, and having some fun with that in a way that I maybe haven’t had with John. So that’s really, really exciting to see what that’s going to be and discovering how this new character fits in and causes some trouble for the Legends. — Matt Ryan.
Somehow the Legends become trapped in the early 20th Century and Dr. Davies might be their only hope.
The showrunners want to explore how these super heroes manage to get from point A to point B when deprived of their ability to time travel.
The Waverider A.I. Gideon is also trapped and in human form (Amy Pemberton).
Season 7 cast: Cathy Lotz, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan, Olivia Swann, Adam Tsekhman, Shayan Sobhian, Lisseth Chavez, Amy Pemberton.
Season 7 started filming on July 12th in Vancouver with cast in period costume for 7×01 Bullet Blondes.
