Just a week after the new ice age drama wrapped filming season 3 in Vancouver, TNT picked it up officially for season 4.

Season 3 doesn’t have a premiere date yet but the story picks up with Layton (Daveed Diggs) and his inner circle commanding the Snowpiercer head, a small 10-car “pirate train”, in search of Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) at the Breslauer Research Station and a possible warm location to restart civilization, aided by a newfound survivor (Archie Punjabi). Back on the remaining 1,023-cars, Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) is consolidating power, foiled only by secret allies of Layton’s hidden on the train, committed to the cause.
