The Good Doctor has started filming season 5 in Vancouver, with Freddie Highmore as the brilliant, autistic Dr. Shaun Murphy on set with Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim and new cast member Osvaldo Benavides as Dr. Mateo Rendon Osma.
On the weekend, OG Richard Schiff, who plays Shaun’s father figure Dr. Aaron Glassman, shared a photo of himself and a bearded Freddie Highmore at the cast dinner.
Cast: Freddie Highmore, Richard Schiff, Christina Chang, Will Yun Lee, Hil Harper, Fiona Gubelmann, Paige Spara, Noah Galvin, Bria Samone Henderson, Osvaldo Benavides.
Upped to series regulars: Noah Galvin as Dr. Asher Wolke and Bria Samone Henderson as Dr. Jordan Allen.
New addition: Osvaldo Benavides joins the cast in season 5, as his character Dr. Mateo Rendon Osma pursues a relationship with Dr. Lim.
Departure: Antonia Thomas isn’t returning for season 5, with her character Dr. Claire Browne having made the decision to stay on in Guatemala in the season 4 finale.
