What a difference success makes — Code 8 is in the big leagues now. Netflix’s Ted Sarandos announced at the Banff World Media Festival in June that the streaming giant had purchased the global rights to Code 8: Part II.

The original movie got cameras rolling by raising $2.5 million from fans in a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

The Amells thanked the backers at several screenings, including one in Vancouver.

Now the Amells are “blowing out” their Code 8 universe.
