Disney+’s THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY Renewed for Season 2

The Mysterious Benedict Society moved production from Vancouver to Los Angeles for season 2.

Double the person. Double the mystery.

Disney+ has renewed The Mysterious Benedict Society for season 2 of Tony Hale playing twin brothers expected to start filming in Vancouver in early 2022.

What is the series about?

Four gifted orphans — Kate Wetherall, Reynie Muldoon, George “Sticky” Washington, and Constance Contraire are recruited by an eccentric benefactor Mr. Benedict (Tony Hale) to go on a secret mission to infiltrate the L.I.I.V.E institution and .stop the nefarious Emergency created by Benedict’s twin brother Dr. L.D. Curtain (Tony Hale).

Season 2 will pick a year after their first mission as the four gifted orphans reunite to try to stop Dr. L.D. Curtain as he shifts to a new strategy with global implications.

Cast: Tony Hale, Kristen Schaal, Ryan Hurst, MaameYaa Boafo, Gia Sandhu, Seth Carr, Emmy DeOliveira, Mystic Inscho and Marta Timofeeva.

Kristin Schaal is eccentric Number Two, one of Mr. Benedict’s loyal lieutenants.

Ryan Hurst is deadpan Milligan, a proctor with the Mysterious Benedict Society.

The Mysterious Benedict Society is adapted from a bestselling book series by Trenton Lee Stewart.

Season One of the series filmed in Vancouver during the pandemic last summer and Fall, wrapping early this year.

Vancouver filming:

Gastown became in the series premiere.

The :L.I.V.E. institution looks like it’s set on Anvil Island in Howe Sound although filming was done in places like Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park.

Team Mysterious Benedict Society won the Reel Thanksgiving Challenge last year, raising over $65,000 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
