Vengeance is a . . . . .
Netflix’s big movie The Mother with Jennifer Lopez kicked off early, “rehearsing” a kidnapping at a child’s birthday party in downtown Vancouver’s Victory Square today.
The targets are chased to the Easy Park parkade nearby and a high-speed chase ensues on the closed blocks around Victory Square.
On Tuesday, The Mother was “rehearsing” a scene of an actor jumping from the 2nd floor of the Easy Park parkade onto the top of a passing truck.
This all makes sense if you know what the movie is about:
The Mother follows a deadly assassin (Jennifer Lopez) who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter (Lucy Paez) she gave up for adoption years ago. With the help of an FBI agent (Omari Hardwick), they go on the run from dangerous criminals (Joseph Fiennes and Gael Garcia Bernal) from her violent past.
Roads blocked around Victory Square today.

Now that Jennifer Lopez has reunited with Ben Affleck, 17 years after she ended their engagement over bad behaviour in Vancouver, will we see the Bennifer sequel Bennifer 2.0 here?
There is a scheduling conflict. Ben Affleck is shooting his own thriller Hypnotic in Austin, Texas until mid-November.
