Kara Comes Out as SUPERGIRL in CatCo Interview in Final Scene

Kara (Melissa Benoist) took off her glasses and came out as Supergirl in the final scene of the series.

In a CatCo interview with Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

Cat Grant trended on Twitter after she called Kara from Columbia and offered her the job of Editor-in-Chief of a repurchased Catco.

I’m speaking — Cat Grant.

But Kara is struggling with her split identity of superhero and journalist and doesn’t accept the offer right away.

Cat Grant calls again.

Oh no, no, no, no, no. Don’t tell me you’re stuck — Cat Grant.

I guess I just never felt whole — Kara.

You’re Supergirl. La di da….Please those spectacles disguised you as much as a pair of Groucho Marx glasses….Let’s take a look at everything that Supergirl and Kara Danvers have accomplished separately and then let’s imagine what you could do if you became one integrated authentic being…I hope that you will choose to become your full self because that would really be something to see and it would be interesting because this is boring. — Cat Grant.

It’s a good ending for Supergirl and one which leaves open the possibility of Melissa Benoist suiting up again — perhaps for a future crossover.

I am not opposed to putting on the suit again and I know there probably will be opportunities to. It would have to feel right for the character and I know they would probably do it justice. I love playing with Grant Gustin. I love Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch on Superman & Lois. So no, I’m not opposed to it. — Melissa Benoist to EW.

Do you know what’s so funny about the crossovers is that [they were] crazy and insane and so frantic and hectic and chaotic, but I had so much fun doing them. All my memories are just of laughing with Grant and Tyler, and Stephen [Amell] — just laughing our butts off and getting so slaphappy and delirious and just having the best time. There was like an electric energy there. And one of my favorite moments too, was when Grant Gustin and I were running in a scene and it was a group of us, and I said, ‘What if we just speed-walked, because I don’t feel like running anymore?’ And he speed-walked and that guy is actually abnormally fast! I’ve never seen anyone… It was incredible! — Melissa Benoist to EW.
