Jennifer Lopez aka JLo has wrapped filming Netflix thriller The Mother in snowy Smithers, B.C. and is back home in the U.S. for Thanksgiving.
She’s been doing snowmobiling sequences in her role as a retired assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up for adoption years earlier.
It’s my last day here shooting on The Mother out in Smithers in the snow, it’s been beautfiul, but tonight I’m on my way home, I’m so excited for thanksgiving, — JLo on Instagram last night.
The Terrace Standard reports The Mother’s stunt crew has been filming snowmobile sequences in locations from the Opal Mine (between 10 and 11 kilometre markers on McDonell Lake Road), to Microwave Ridge (off the Telkwa River Forest Road) to The Prairie (atop Hudson Bay Mountain).
The Mother follows a deadly assassin (Jennifer Lopez) who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter (Lucy Paez) she gave up for adoption years ago. With the help of an FBI agent (Omari Hardwick), they go on the run from dangerous criminals (Joseph Fiennes and Gael Garcia Bernal) from her violent past.

Before that, The Mother spent a month filming in and around Vancouver with Jennifer Lopez spotted on set with a sniper rifle at an Easy Park parkade in Downtown Vancouver.
