RESIDENT ALIEN’s Inside Look Video at Season 2 With Alan Tudyk

RESIDENT ALIEN’s Inside Look Video at Season 2 With Alan Tudyk

If you hadn’t stowed away we wouldn’t have a season 2 — Alan Tudyk to Judah Prehn.

Harry the alien was on his way to his home planet in the Resident Alien season one finale when he found young Max stowed away on his spaceship.

Ugh.

It sounds like Max is the reason Harry turns around the ship and heads back to Patience, Colorado.

On his new quest to protect the people of Earth, Harry struggles to hold on to his alien identity as his human emotions grow stronger by the day. In an adventure that takes Harry and Asta (Sara Tomko) all the way to New York City, Asta brings Harry into the arms of someone he can call family. Back in Patience, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) find themselves closer to unraveling the mystery of Sam Hodges’s murder.

Showrunner: Chris Sheridan.

Cast: Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Judah Prehn.

In season 2, Harry and Asta’s search for an alien from Harry’s planet takes them all the way to New York City, with Vancouver playing a “pretty cool, second New York”, Sara Tomko says.

Local fans got to see Harry stuff his face with a New York slice in September, when Alan Tuydyk and Sara Tomko filmed on location in downtown Vancouver,

But is Sara his perfect match? Harry goes on a date in Patience with another woman — Kate Hawthorne’s cousin Carlyn, a right-brained, laser-physicist played by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Alex Borstein.

[Carlyn] has some odd mannerisms. She’s socially awkward, similar to Harry, and she and Harry go on a date. — showrunner Chris Sheridan told TVLine.

Resident Alien has been filming season 2 since early August.

Filming dates: August 3rd to March 25th, 2022.

What happened in season one?

The OG Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) was thrown into a frozen lake after a spaceship crash-landed near his cabin and an alien assumed his shape. But it turns out we don’t have to feel so bad about OG Harry’s death after discovering that it was him who murdered Dr. Sam Hodges. Why? We’ll find out in season 2.

Over the course of season one, Harry the alien (Alan Tudyk) posed as the small-town doctor and started to care about the humans he came to know.

Not only was Resident Alien the most-watched cable drama in viewers and #2 in the key 18-49 demo, it’s Syfy’s highest-rated new drama in six years in total viewers and a big time-shifting success too.

The series is adapted from the Dark Horse Comic co-created by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse.

Season 2 premieres January 26th on Syfy.
