Psychological Thriller BALESTRA Starts Filming in Vancouver
Psychological thriller Balestra, about a fencer striving for an Olympic comeback, has started filming in Vancouver.
Filming dates: January 24th to March 4th, 2022.
Disgraced competitive fencer Joanna Bathory is striving for an Olympic comeback – her last chance for a shot at gold. Pressured by her husband and coach RAFE, Joanna receives a prototype device allowing her to extend her training into her sleeping hours. By day she’s on the piste, and by night she’s lucid dreaming. But reality begins to blur when she encounters a stranger named Elliot and gets caught in her own web of subconscious desires and unfulfilled reality.

Tessa Thompson was originally attached to star along with Marwan Kenzari, but Thompson is currently filming Creed 3 in Atlanta.
