Max Thieriot to Star in CBS Pilot CAL FIRE Filming in Vancouver This Spring

CBS pilot Cal Fire is inspired by Max Thieriot’s own experiences growing up in Northern California wildfire country

Filming dates: March 16th to April 1st 2022.

In Cal Fire, seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence, young convict Bode Donovan (Max Thieriot) joins a firefighting program that returns him to his small Northern California hometown, where he and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish massive blazes across the region. Prison inmate Bode joins the Cal Fire unit to get his sentence reduced after his latest parole bid is rejected. But when Bode is sent to a camp nearby his old home town, he’s panicky and desperate to be reassigned. During the middle of a raging fire that threatens the town, Bode risks his own life to save Jake, a firefighter trapped in the inferno — at which point Bode’s mysterious connection to Jake and the town comes to glaring light.

Max Thieriot is Bode Donovan, one of the prison inmates in the firefighting program.

Billy Burke is Vince Donovan, the fire chief of Middletown and Bode’s father.

Kevin Alejandro is Manny, the fire captain in charge of the prison inmates.

Diane Farr is Cheryl, a Cal Fire board executive.

Stephanie Arcila is Arabella, Manny’s daughter, a former champion diver. and girlfriend of firefighter Jake.

Jordan Calloway is firefighter Jake, whose girlfriend is Manny’s daughter Arabella.

Jules Latimer is firefighter Everly, who’s been friends with Jake since childhood.
