Updated: Raymond Lee is cast as Dr. Sam Beckett’s successor on NBC’s new Quantum Leap pilot filming in Vancouver this March.

It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

But when his successor Dr. Ben Seong (Raymond Lee) uses the Quantum Leap technology on himself, he ends up stuck in the late 1980s with amnesia.

Filming dates: March 12th to 30th, 2022.

Raymond Lee is Dr. Ben Seong.

Ernie Hudson is Vietnam war vet Herbert “Magic” Williams, the head of the time travel project.

Nanrisa Lee is Jenn, head of security at Quantum Leap HQ.

Maison Alexander Park is Ian, chief architect of Quantum Leap’s AI program.

Caitlin Bassett is Addison, a project lead at Quantum Leap who communicates with time travellers..

Scott Bakula has been in talks for a role in the reboot but he’s not involved yet.

During a government experiment into time travel, scientist Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) finds himself trapped in the past, “leaping” into the bodies of different people on a regular basis and sorting out their problems whilst trying to get back home to his own time.

Scott Bakula and the late Dean Stockwell as Sam’s friend Admiral Al Calavicci, who accompanied him on his leaps as a holographic observer.
