The sequel filmed in Vancouver from mid-March to mid-May last year with Fort Langley playing Green Hills for a week and a half.

Sonic Movie 2 then moved on to a shoot in Hawaii.
The original Sonic the Hedgehog grossed over $58 million on its opening weekend in February 2020 and was one of the first released early on home entertainment after theatres shut down around the world out of Covid-19 fears.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be in theatres April 8th, 2022.
