Amazon’s female-centric global sci-fi series The Power has a Vancouver shoot this summer.

Update: Vancouver filming dates: July 25 2022 – September 24 2022.

Adapted from Naomi Alderman’s novel, The Power is about a group of teenage girls who mysteriously develop a special power that allows them to electrocute people at will.

Originally The Power had planned to film in Vancouver in the Spring of 2020 but the Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to that.

Production started in the U.K. in 2021 and filmed in a number of locations including Fairford, Lechlade, a large convent on the outskirts of Bowdsey and the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in south London.. From the U.K., The Power went on to film in Nambia.

Our era’s Handmaid’s Tale.

Suddenly, and without warning, all teenage girls in the world develop the power to electrocute people at will. And they learn they can awaken the Power in older women, too. Soon nearly every woman in the world can electrocute people with her bare hands giving women the physical upper hand over men.
