CBS has picked up drama Fire Country inspired by Max Thieriot’s own experiences growing up in Northern California wildfire country.

The pilot filmed in Vancouver under the working title Cal Fire. Will the series?

Seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence, young convict Bode Donovan (Max Thieriot) joins a firefighting program that returns him to his small Northern California hometown, where he and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish massive blazes across the region. Inspired by Max Thieriot’s experiences growing up in northern California fire country.

Billy Burke is Vince, the fire chief of Middletown.

Diane Farr is Cheryl, a Cal Fire board executive.

Stephanie Arcila is Arabella, Manny’s daughter, a former champion diver. and girlfriend of firefighter Jake.

Jordan Calloway is firefighter Jake, whose girlfriend is Manny’s daughter Arabella.

Jules Latimer is firefighter Everly, who’s been friends with Jake since childhood.
