Psychological thriller Surface, with Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a woman who’s lost her memory, is set in San Francisco but filmed mainly in Vancouver, although you can’t tell from the trailer.
Surface is set in San Francisco and follows Sophie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a woman who recently suffered a traumatic head injury that has left her with extreme memory loss, believed to be a result of a suicide attempt. As Sophie embarks on a quest to put the pieces of her life back together with the help of her husband and friends, she begins to question whether or not the truth she is told is in fact the truth she has lived.
The series premieres its first 3 episodes on July 29th on Apple TV+.

The Surface series start filming in Vancouver in late June last year.
And wrapped filming in late October last Fall.
