The Hollywood director is a Vancouver Film School alum and Friend of the Arrowverse: directing episodes of The Flash and Supergirl in Vancouver from 2016-2018; moderating PaleyFest’s big Arrowverse panel in 2017 with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow casts and show runners in attendance; and hosting The CW after-show for the last big Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths in 2019-2020.
Smith was one of the celebrities who stepped up to save the Rio Theatre from developers in 2018, hosting two fundraisers in March called A Night With Kevin Smith (I attended one) just weeks after surviving a massive heart attack.

VFS alum and Vancouver lover here, ready to assist! I’ve long loved the @RioTheatre and would be honored and happy to do a benefit screening/Q&A to raise loot & awareness for the @RioTheatre! Would a Family Day event be too soon? https://t.co/jvJrPd8twk
