Honorary Vancouverite Kevin Smith brings his Clerks III: The Convenience Tour to the Rio Theatre this weekend, with raucous screenings plus Q&As .

The Hollywood director is a Vancouver Film School alum and Friend of the Arrowverse: directing episodes of The Flash and Supergirl in Vancouver from 2016-2018; moderating PaleyFest’s big Arrowverse panel in 2017 with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow casts and show runners in attendance; and hosting The CW after-show for the last big Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths in 2019-2020.

Smith was one of the celebrities who stepped up to save the Rio Theatre from developers in 2018, hosting two fundraisers in March called A Night With Kevin Smith (I attended one) just weeks after surviving a massive heart attack.
