New CBS Series FIRE COUNTRY From Max Thieriot Premieres Tonight. Filmed in Vancouver.

Fire Country, the new CBS series inspired by Max Thieriot’s experiences growing up in Northern California fire country, premieres tonight.

Look for the Anmore Village Hall as CalFire’s Edgewater Fire Station.

Fire Country follows Bode Donovan (Max Thieriot), a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining an unconventional prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region.

t’s a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son until his troubles began. Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret. Now he’s back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption with Cal Fire.

Max Thieriot is Bode Donovan, one of the prison inmates in the firefighting program.

Billy Burke is Vince, the fire chief.

Diane Farr is Cheryl, a Cal Fire board executive.

Kevin Alejandro is Manny, the fire captain in charge of the prison inmates. 

Jordan Calloway is firefighter Jake, whose girlfriend is Manny’s daughter Arabella.

Stephanie Arcila is Arabella, Manny’s daughter, a former champion diver. and girlfriend of firefighter Jake.

Jules Latimer is firefighter Everly, who’s been friends with Jake since childhood.

After filming its pilot in metro Vancouver, Fire Country returned this summer for production of season one.

  1. I am enjoying Fire Country immensely !! It has great actors, the storyline is totally believable, since it’s based on actual events, the action is intense !! Scary, for sure !!
    People can LEARN things about forest fires and the work done by the real live heros that step up, risking their lives to stop the spread !! How very fast fire travels and the devastation it causes, and the innocent lives (human and wildlife) it claims !!
    Maybe, by watching a show like THIS, the staggering amount of human caused forest fires, will dwindle !!
