Every ending has a beginning. Season Seven of Riverdale started filming today. With these two beautiful dreamettes leading the charge into the dark heart of the nineteen-fifties.– Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

The season 7 premiere is titled Don’t Worry Darling (a riff on Olivia Wilde’s 1950s-set summer film Don’t Worry Darling with Harry Styles).

The seventh and final seasonwith Archie and the Gang is filming in metro Vancouver.

Season 7 filming dates: October 17 2022 – June 23 2023.

Jughead seems to be the only one who knows about their life before the timeline changed .

We were debating on what the final beats of [the finale] would be and torn between a very big swing and a quieter ending. And it definitely emboldened us to go for the big swing for Season 7. It’s really exciting. — Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa on the news that season 7 would be Riverdale’s last.

The 1950s is the time period associated with the original Archie Comics.

Riverdale paid homage to the OG comics in its 100th episode, The Jughead Paradox.
