Six weeks of talks between the writers union (Writers Guild of America) and eight studios (Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Disney-ABC, NBC Universal, Paramount-CBS, Warner Bros Discovery, Sony) ended last night and the writers voted unanimously to call a strike as their three-year contract expired.

Late night talk shows, Saturday Night Live and TV series writers rooms shut down today.

Yellowjackets season 3 production is expected to start later this year in B.C., but that will depend on how long the Writers Strike lasts.
