SUPERMAN & LOIS To Cut Main Cast From 12 to 5 in Season 4

Supeman & Lois plans to cut its series regulars from 12 to five in season 4: keeping Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, ,Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent/Superboy, and Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent of course and adding Michael Cudlitz as the season nemesis Lex Luthor, reports Deadline: Hollywood.

That means Dylan Walsh’s General Lane, Emanuelle Chriqui ‘s Lana Lang, Erik Valdez’s Kyle Cushing, India Navarrette’s Sarah Cushing; Wolé Parks’s John Henry Irons, Taylor Buck’s Natalie Irons; and Sofia Hasmik’s Chrissie Beppo will only recur or guest star dependent on the actors’ “interest and availability”.

Earlier this week, The CW officially renewed Superman & Lois for season 4 , but with a reduced episode count, cast, budget and other concessions.

Episodes cut from 13 to 10.

Series regulars cut from 12 to 5.

Overall budget to be cut by focusing even more on the family drama and less on the superhero elements which require expensive VFX.

Warner Bros. Television to concede some library streaming rights to The CW

  1. This feels like a wrong decision to me better to cancel as bad as that sounds than get some shadow of a show that thrives on its big cast one of the few recent CW superhero shows that do

    1. Fortunately that whole Lang/Cushing family has been deleted. It sucked up too much valuable screen time that should have been dedicated to more action sequences. This show shot themselves in the foot by adding to much unnecessary drama and moping and whining
